We have over 100 heat networks boroughwide that provide heating and hot water to around 17,000 homes.
Our low carbon heat network systems are made up of:
- a large central boiler house
- underground mains (distribution pipes)
- plant rooms on an estate
- above-ground distribution pipes within blocks
- dwelling systems (pipes, radiators, fan units and hot water supply)
Communal heating has a lower impact on air quality compared with individual boilers so is better for the environment.
