The local pension board oversees how Southwark Council:

  • complies with the LGPS legislation and other relevant regulations
  • administers and governs the pension scheme

Its members are:

London Pension Fund Authority (LPFA)

Workers of the Inner London education authority who transferred to Southwark Council, and have continuous employment, remain members of the LPFA scheme.

Pension Advisory Panel

The Pension Advisory Panel (PAP) offers advice to the Council's chief finance officer. The role and functions of PAP are in the council’s constitution.
