Help with meals and shopping

Internet and telephone shopping

Most of the larger supermarkets provide an internet shopping delivery service. If you have access to the internet you or your representative will be able to order and pay for your food online  and the supermarket will deliver it to you within an agreed timeslot for an additional fee. We recommend looking on the website of your local supermarket for guidance on how to access this.

Sainsbury's and Morrisons also offer a service where you can choose your shopping and arrange for delivery over the telephone if you do not have access to the internet.

Meal services in Southwark

If you find it hard to go shopping or prepare meals for yourself there are services within Southwark that can have hot meals delivered at home. We recommend using a supplier approved by our Trading Standards team through Buy with Confidence

Food banks and community meals

There are a number of food banks within Southwark which provide emergency food parcels to individuals and families who are struggling to afford to buy food.

FoodCycle London cook and provide free meals and somewhere comfortable to eat within the community. Everyone is welcome and you do not need a referral or voucher to attend.
