Data privacy

What we do with the personal information (data) you give us, who we share it with and how long we keep it for.

We use your personal information (data) to provide you with care and support. We must do this by law (under the Care Act, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.

If you choose to not share your information with us we may not be able to give you the most appropriate support. 

Sharing your information

Our adult social care teams may share your information with other agencies and Council departments that are supporting you.

Let us know if there are any people or organisations do not want us to share it with.

The London Care Record 

Our adult social care team, GPs, local hospitals and other organisations involved in your care share your information through the London Care Record (LCR). 

This is a secure system that helps you get the support you need.

If you do not want your information shared on the London Care Record:

How long we keep your information

We hold your information for as long as we’re providing you with support. It will be destroyed 7 years after the support has ended.
