Funding is limited and when it runs out no further applications are accepted.
We usually award Discretionary Housing Payments (DHPs) for short periods.
We give them to those trying to help themselves. They might be looking for work, a new place to live or a long-term solution to their money problems.
DHPs aren't automatically renewed.
We prioritise funds for the most vulnerable people who are experiencing exceptional financial hardship.
Backdated payments are unlikely. But, we'll consider them if there's a good reason for the delay and you provide proof.
