Auction registration licence
Find out how to apply for an auction registration, or notify us about an auction if you intend to sell goods by competitive bidding.
You must get an auction registration licence to sell goods through an auction from:
- halls
- rooms
- stalls
- marquees
- vehicles
- sites which are used or hired out for one-day sales
- any premises or land where goods are sold by auction
The registration is a one-off application and is valid indefinitely, in line with the Greater London Council (GLC) General Powers Act 1984.
