Temporary use notice

If you want to provide temporary gambling events or activities at a premises without a gambling premises licence, you will need to apply for a Temporary Use Notice (TUN).

You need to send us a temporary use notice (TUN) to provide gambling facilities at a premises or vessel with no premises licence.

We must get the TUN at least 3 months and 1 day before the event starts.

Gambling activities can only be held using TUNs for a maximum of 21 days in any 12 month period.

A TUN costs £500

Appeal a TUN refusal

You can appeal to the magistrates’ court if your application for a TUN is refused. You must do this within 14 days of receiving notice that it’s been refused.
