Scaffolding or hoarding licence

Before placing scaffolding or hoarding on or over the public highway, you must have a licence.  

Licences for scaffolding are granted under Section 169 of the Highways Act 1980. Licences for hoarding are granted under Section 172. 

We can refuse scaffolding or hoarding licence applications even after you've made a payment.
