They focus on giving children the best start in life, providing opportunities for playing and learning. All centres offer support for parents.
Southwark children's services manage early years centres. They offer full or part-time care for children from birth to 5-years-old.
These nurseries are businesses that provide full and part-time care for pre-school children from birth to aged five.
These are privately run nurseries. They provide full or part-time care for the children of college students and staff.
Each nursery has its own admission rules which may restrict places to certain types of students or employees.
These are classes for children over the age of 3 during school hours and term time only. Often part-time, they're usually attached to schools. Ofsted will regularly inspect these.
