Early help for everyone
There are a wide range of universal early help services in Southwark.
Universal services are available to all families with children or adolescents. In Southwark they include:
- parenting support on Southwark's local offer website
- parenting courses, advice and telephone support from the family information directory
- health visitors who can support you through early parenting
- school nurses who can help with mental and physical wellbeing or sexual health
- GPs
- youth clubs
- SEND for those with special education needs or disabilities
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) for mental health support who support
- NHS Talking Therapies in Southwark for adult mental health support
- speech and language therapy
- domestic abuse support including where to get help
- housing information for council and private tenants, including help with homelessness
- family hubs, and children and family centres for information, peer support and one-to-one family support
