Southwark family council

Family council brings together parents, carers and other family members to give their views on children’s services in Southwark. Why not join?

Our family council meets monthly to discuss how Southwark services can work better with families and children. Topics include:

  • how to make sure that families and professionals can work together
  • the types of support families need and how to provide it
  • how to make services easier for families to access

The family council is also asked to give its views on any proposed changes to our work.

They discuss how any changes will affect families. We can then take this into consideration when putting new policies in place.

Anyone with experience with children’s services in Southwark can join the family council. This includes parents, carers and other family members.

You’ll need to:

  • attend monthly meetings
  • share your views and ideas
  • work with us to develop goals to help promote change

Family council meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 5.30pm to 7pm. Meetings are currently on Zoom.
