Ongoing improvements and developments include:
Lighting
Significant progress has been made in improving the lighting across the square. These upgrades will enhance both safety and the overall atmosphere, creating a more inviting environment. While work is still in progress, the changes will become visible soon. Currently, the ‘old’ highways luminaires have been installed as a temporary measure due to a delay in the delivery of the new heritage-style LED luminaires.
Emergency access
The previously existing roadblock has been cleared, allowing emergency vehicles to access the square without restriction.
Pedestrian traffic
The square has seen an increase in pedestrian traffic, indicating its growing popularity as a community hub. This positive development is encouraging, and we look forward to seeing the space continue to be enjoyed by local residents.
