Since the launch of the final report, we have had enormous national media interest, including from the Guardian, FT, Sky News and the Big Issue. Because of the great work of our partner councils we’ve also seen local press all over the country, from Suffolk to Swindon and Cambridgeshire to Yorkshire.
In September 2024, we launched the final report at a Westminster event attended by over 100 key stakeholders, including MPs, Peers, Ministers, council leaders, and housing experts. We created a video of the launch event to build excitement about the campaign, showcasing the breadth of influential support.
This led to Southwark and a number of our signature councils being invited to a second roundtable discussion with the Housing Minister. In October, we hosted a parliamentary drop-in session, attended by over 50 parliamentarians. We have since continued to deepen engagement to turn passive supporters into active advocates; for example, Danny Beales MP used our parliamentary briefing to reference our campaign in a Treasury debate.
We will continue to deliver influential communications and engagements on both behalf and in partnership with all 109 councils.
