Southwark Insights and Intelligence Programme (SIIP)

We are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of Southwark’s population, and reducing health and other inequalities in the borough.

We will do this by:

  • listening to our diverse communities
  • learning from our own experience and the work of others
  • using data and evidence

The Southwark Insights and Intelligence Programme (SIIP) aims to:

  • improve the way we use, and learn from, data and evidence
  • use data and evidence to design better services that improve health and reduce inequalities

The programme will run from April 2024 to March 2027. It includes three work streams delivered with partners that include universities, voluntary and community organisations, and the NHS.

These work streams are:

  1. Learning and development: to help council staff work better with data and evidence
  2. Data integration: to link data across the council and with outside partners
  3. Community research and co-production: to train community researchers to help integrate the voice of the community into our decision-making
