Moving home

Let us know if you’re moving: 

• into Southwark as you must register for Council Tax
• to a new address in Southwark so you’re charged the right amount
• out of Southwark so we can issue your final bill and close your account

You must let us know within 21 days.

We’ll need:

• the names of anyone aged 18 and over living in the property
• your moving dates
• whether you own or rent
• the start date or end date of your tenancy (tenants)
• the date you bought or sold the property (owners)
• your new address if moving out of Southwark, so we can send your final bill

There's a different process to let us know if:

• you live alone and want to apply for money off
• you no longer live alone (cancel single occupier discount)
• a tenancy has changed (landlords and managing agents)
• a Council Tax payer has passed away
