We worked with final year Camberwell BA Hons illustration students to offer them their first paid commission. The brief was to create a design for a glass dividing panel in the children’s library.

Our work Is today together’ by Mark Titchner

Commissioned by South London Gallery and funded by Southwark Council Cleaner Greener Safer and Bloomberg.

This artwork is located in Sceaux Gardens Estate in partnership with Sceaux Gardens TRA.

Residents wanted to find creative ways to make Sceaux Gardens more accessible and easier to negotiate and improve the overall experience of their local area.

The artist said: “My aim was to propose a vivid, powerful presence at one of the main entrances to the estate incorporating a clear text that highlights the key concerns of ownership, communication, representation, community and collaboration. The design takes its basis from the pattern of windows found on the tower block and replaces their hard grid with overlapping circles and sweeping arcs.”
