Fredericks Playground was an old adventure playground that closed in 2019 for an upgrade of its play equipment and landscape. It underwent a total transformation which enhanced play opportunities for children in the local community.
Construction commenced on site in May 2024 and was completed in October 2024. These improvements, along with new state-of-the-art play equipment, created a vibrant and inclusive fun space for children of all ages and abilities to explore and play.
The playground was changed to open access and reopened in November 2024. A reopening event was held and widely attended by children and families of the local community, including local stakeholders and local ward councillors.
