Library tablets

Some libraries have tablets that you can use. The tablets only work when they are in the library.

You can use a library tablet at:

  • Canada Water Library
  • Dulwich Library
  • Peckham Library
  • Walworth Library

Website content is filtered, so the tablets can be used by all ages. Find out more about helping children stay safe online.

Using a library tablet

Follow the instructions below to use a Southwark library tablet:

  1. Tap the screen to wake the docking station.
  2. Select ‘library card’ and scan your membership card.   
  3. Enter your account password.
  4. Pick up the tablet from the slot that lights up. It will be yours to use anywhere in the library for 1 hour.
  5. Return the tablet to the docking station when finished. This will wipe all your information and browser history from the device.

If you would like more time, just return it to the docking station and scan your library card again. You will be given the tablet that has the most charged battery.
