Parks and cemeteries winter maintenance

Cemeteries and crematoria provide a critical public service. It is essential that they remain open for ongoing access and use despite weather conditions. A salting programme will be in place during periods of snow and ice. 

Operatives will apply salt as required to limit the impacts of snow and ice on main drives, entrances, steep gradients, and frost-prone footpaths. 

In addition, cemetery staff will review conditions within their sites and assist in salt application where required to minimise disruption to planned services.
