Family learning courses

These courses are designed to help adults support their child to learn and to take time out to enjoy being creative together.

We regularly run sessions after school and during holidays in a range of subjects.

The courses on offer include English, maths, using a computer and others like:

• pottery
• poetry
• film
• fashion
• crafts
• woodwork
• arts and animation
• music
• dance
• sewing
• salsa

Courses to share with children

We also have courses to help you to support school-aged children or grandchildren.

Most family learning courses are free, but some classes charge a £5 materials fee.

Courses allow families to learn together in a fun and relaxed environment.

These take place across Southwark in:

• schools
• children’s centres
• libraries
• voluntary organisations 
• the Thomas Calton Centre in Peckham

How to enrol

Contact us to get an Family learning enrolment form 2024 to 2025.

You’ll need your passport or driver’s licence as proof of identity.
