The Schools Finance Team carries out the council’s statutory functions relating to schools and manages the associated risk to the council’s financial position.
Schools have delegated powers and are responsible for their own financial decisions.
The team does not make payments to parents. Neither does it make payments to academies or independent special schools for Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision.
