Find out about the annual conferences organised by Southwark tenants and homeowners.

Tenants and homeowners who live in Southwark council managed properties put on conferences. They usually take place once a year and are supported by the council.

The conferences allow you to find out more about:

Independent external organisations often join the conferences. These organisations can provide:

  • housing staff who you can discuss individual issues with

Tenant conference

The annual conference is organised by tenants. It’s an opportunity to:

  • find out more about housing services

  • hear from independent organisations about the services and support they offer

  • meet your representatives and other Southwark residents

There will be presentations from the council and independent professionals and a chance to ask questions. The conference has information stalls with exhibitors including housing repairs services, Southwark Group of Tenants Organisations (SGTO) and Metropolitan Police.

Homeowner conference

The conference is organised by homeowners. It gives leaseholders and freeholders who live in Southwark council managed properties a chance to:

  • find out about their rights and responsibilities
  • hear from independent organisations about the services and support they offer
  • meet their representatives and peers

Council officers are on hand to answer your questions and help understand how your bills are calculated. There are presentations from the council and independent professionals, with an opportunity to ask questions.

The conference will also feature a market place with information stalls and exhibition stands run by:

  • local organisations

  • national organisations like Citizens Advice
