Leaving home as a young person takes careful thought and planning. 

The best time to leave home is when you:

• feel ready 
• have support to move out 
• have made a plan

Council housing

You will not be entitled to a council home. 

You’ll need to find money for a deposit and rent in advance for a home in the private sector.
