How the refund is worked out
The calculation runs from the start of your tenancy (or 1 April 2001, if that's later) up to 28 July 2013 (or the end of the tenancy, if that’s earlier).
The amount overcharged has been decided by the court as 22.1% of the original charge. The law allows us to make a charge of 1.5p per day for administration.
We’ve added interest to the refunds up to the date of the payment.
If you have rent arrears
We’ll use the refund to pay off your arrears and any remaining amount will be paid to your bank account.
