Project that aims to improve cycling routes in the borough.

Current and recent projects to improve cycling routes in the borough.

Cycle 35

We are in the process of developing a new cycleway, Cycleway 35 (also called C35 or Cycle 35) as part of the TfL Cycleway programme. The route runs from Bermondsey to Catford.

The section from Bermondsey to Peckham was done in 2020. We're now planning to link up Peckham Rye Gyratory to Brockley Mews via this route.

These plans are divided into two sections:

  • between Nunhead Lane and Stuart Road
  • between Stuart Road and Brockley Mews

Southwark Spine South and Bellenden Gyratory

The Southwark Spine is a north-south walking and cycling route between East Dulwich and Borough. The route is for anyone who wants to use quieter, lower-traffic routes.

Work on the Bellenden Road section of the route was completed in 2023.
