Who designs streets and public spaces in Southwark, and how to contact them.
As a Local Highway Authority we’re responsible for most streets and spaces in Southwark.
Streets and spaces are the public face of Southwark. They can positively or negatively affect quality of life and the way the area is seen. We want to encourage local communities to take pride in their surroundings.
We want to improve the design of streets and spaces in Southwark by:
- introducing a more standardised design and appearance
- carrying out improvements and repairs in a more consistent, coordinated way
- considering all uses and users of streets and spaces in the design process
- enhancing green spaces
