You only pay for the time you use the car, so you do not have to deal with tax, insurance or maintenance.
Car clubs can considerably reduce the demand for parking. One car club vehicle may remove up to 20 private cars from the road.

How to use a car club:
Look for on-street bays marked 'Car Club Only.' Our officers enforce these spaces. They are placed for maximum community access.
Each car has a specific parking bay, easily accessible to residents and businesses. We have over 135 car club bays and plan to add more as demand grows.
Zipcar operate two different car clubs in Southwark:
Cars parked in fixed bays which at the end of the rental period must be returned to the bay they were picked up from.
Flexible car club where the vehicle can be driven to another borough within the scheme and the rental can end in any permitted parking space. There are typically at least 75 Zipcar flex vehicles in Southwark.
