Paying for parking
How to pay for on-street parking.
You have to pay to park in an on-street parking bay during controlled hours.
Cost
Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ) C1, C2, D, F, G and GR
- PayByPhone or PayPoint (cash): £7.80 an hour
- With diesel surcharge: £12.10 an hour
All other controlled parking zones
- PayByPhone or PayPoint (cash): £5.10 an hour
- With diesel surcharge: £8.30 an hour

How to pay
Pay using PayByPhone.
You can do this on their app, online, at a PayPoint shop, or over the phone using a credit or debit card.
Always quote your location reference number.
If you signup to the app, you'll be able to pay quickly each time you want to park. You'll also:
- get text alerts before your parking time ends
- be able to easily extend your parking time
