It's illegal to leave dog mess in a public place. You could be fined up to £1,000.
Not only is dog poo unpleasant, it is dangerous to public health, particularly young children. It can cause serious illness. You must get rid of it safely by:
- putting it in a bag
- throwing it in a bin
You can use a public dog bin, litter bin or domestic waste bin.
We aim to clean dog poo within 48 hours of it being reported.
