Report a dead animal
What to do if you find a dead animal on council, private or business property.
If you see a dead wild animal or a pet that has been killed on the road, report it to us. We'll collect and dispose of it properly.
We do not collect deceased pets from your home.
We aim to respond to your request within 1 working day.
If you report a dead animal after 12 midday, we’ll respond the next working day.
We remove dead animals free of charge from:
- streets
- estates
- council tenants’ gardens
It costs £61.50 (including VAT) to remove dead animals from:
- private commercial land
- your own private garden
You can pay by cash or cheque made payable to 'London Borough of Southwark'.
Have the fee ready to give to our staff when they collect the dead animal from your property. They will give you a receipt.
