Works to a privately owned tree

If you’re a council tenant, you're responsible for maintaining trees growing on your property. However, please contact your Resident Service Officer to seek approval prior to undertaking any tree works.

We do not offer tree pruning services for private residents. Before doing any work on your tree, check that it's not protected by a Tree Preservation Order and is not in a conservation area.

If your neighbour’s tree is overhanging into your garden, ask the owner of the tree to have it pruned.
