Peckham Square

Overview

We have budgeted £7 million to upgrade Peckham Square.

Peckham Square is already a popular destination thanks to:

In 2016, Turner Works architects worked closely with the community to co-design the reconfiguration of the square.

The approved scheme was made up of two new buildings facing Peckham High Street and a new shared and landscaped public space in between. The buildings were mixed use.

In 2021, Southwark Council appointed Spheron Architects to re-design the landscaped public realm.

Graeme Massie Architects and Scott Whitby Studio have been appointed to take the project forward.

We are also working with the Damilola Taylor Trust on proposals for a new public artwork for the square. It will take a positive look towards the future while honouring Peckham’s past.
