You must get consent to do noisy demolition or construction at least 28 days before works start. This is sometimes called ‘section 61 consent’.

Apply to do noisy work within working hours
If you do not apply before work begins we will set your hours of working, terms and conditions.
You need special permission for any noisy demolition or construction work outside of the normal working hours. You must apply at least 7 days before you plan to start work.
You can do this for work that will last less than 8 weeks.
You’ll need to give a valid safety or highways reasons why the work needs to be done out of hours.
