Use the planning register to:
- search, view and comment on a planning application
- get email alerts about planning applications in your area
You have at least 21 days from the date a planning application is published to give your comments.
In the planning register, select the application you want to comment on. Then, choose make a public comment.
You can comment on:
- the design and size of the development
- the proposed land use
- traffic and parking
- if it will be a nuisance because of noise
- if it will affect a neighbour’s daylight or privacy
- how it complies with our planning policies and guidance
- benefits to the community
- any other relevant material planning or environmental issues
Any comment you make about an application must be available to the public. This means your comment will be published on our website. We will not publish your personal information. We usually will not publish anonymous comments.
Use the planning portal's glossary if you come across unfamiliar terms in a planning application.
Comments take a day to publish on the planning register.
Unless you have selected to track on the planning register, we won't normally contact you.
