Sign up for the Women's Safety Charter

Sexual harassment of women in bars and nightclubs often occurs without challenge or reporting. 

We gathered input from the public, council, and partner officers to establish the Women’s Safety Charter. Our goal is to create a culture that does not tolerate harassment of women in participating establishments.

Venues that sign up for the Women’s Safety Charter will:

• display posters discouraging harassment and encouraging reporting
• take all reports of harassment and intimidation seriously
• support people who report such incidents
• train all front-of-house staff to address women's safety
• ensure women leave the venue safely
