Develop your skills in portrait drawing and painting by working with a life model.

If you have experience you may like to use your medium of choice.

You'll consider the work of established artists throughout the course.

On completion, you may like to enrol on our Personal Development Painting Studio course.

How it's taught

The course is tutor-led with:

  • demonstrations
  • one-on-one support
  • group discussions on progress and finished work

You'll draw a different model each week, with each pose lasting around 3 hours.

You'll be encouraged to explore your own expressive interpretation.

What to bring

You need to bring your own paper or other painting surface and drawing or painting materials.

Choose from:

  • pencils
  • charcoal
  • pen and ink
  • watercolour
  • acrylics

Solvents are not permitted in the workshop.

The tutor will brief you ahead of each session so you know what to bring the following week.
