Suitable for beginners and advanced English speakers.
Our ESOL courses will help you develop your English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
If you're Ukrainian and have just arrived to Southwark you can get free ESOL classes.
Our courses
We offer a range of ESOL courses at different levels for residents including:
- pre-entry for beginners
- entry 1, 2, 3
- level 1
- level 2
- access to nationally recognised qualifications like City and Guilds
All courses include:
- grammar
- study skills
- British values
- employability
- communication skills for living and working in the UK
Choose from morning, afternoon and evening classes.
Learners who pass their level 2 course can progress to other academic or work-related courses.
How to enrol
To enrol you need to attend a skills check consultation.
This is to assess your skill level and knowledge to make sure you're placed on the right course.
Consultations are held:
- every Monday from 10am to 2.30pm
- at the Thomas Calton Centre
