Free school meals
If you get certain benefits, your child may be able to get free school meals.
Primary schools
All children in government-funded primary schools now get a free school meal.
Central government funds free school meals for children in reception, year 1 or year 2.
The Mayor of London now provides additional funding to schools for children in years 3 to 6 so that all children can benefit from a hot and nutritious lunch.
