We are proud to receieve Ogiek land defender Leonard Mindore and Maguzawa oral historian Kamilu Hassan Hamza, who will share traditional stories of the indigenous people of Mau Forest in Kenya and Yarmariya Bush in Nigeria.

This event is part of Southwark Black History Month, and it is organised to celebrate the African diasporic community in London through an appreciation of Nigerian and Kenyan traditional ecological knowledge, and also to raise awareness of the work of some of its most important land defenders.

This events is for all ages, and accessible to all. Rehreshments are available at the festival camp, and there are access-free toilets also available.
