The Blue Market Winter Fair

The Blue Winter Fair is an established local community event held on the first week of December to herald in the festive period and promote the shops and businesses funded and is organised by Blue Bermondsey BID - a not for profit local business network. This year the Blue Bermondsey BID will be working with Rouel Road TRA to host a free Christmas Party for residents; and with BLW and ReLondon we are ‘Green the Blue’ with free environmental awareness activities. Blue Bermondsey BID are also very pleased welcome back popular annual attraction Custard Storm Circus, Roaming Father Christmas, Wreathmaking with our Art Elves and choirs from St James Church and Boutcher Primary School.

Custard Storm Circus 12 – 4pm. Live Finale Circus Show 3.45pm
Stilt walking, juggling, roaming magician and free face painting! Learn Circus Skills to impress your friends thanks to our talented Custard Storm performers.
  
Christmas Carols 12:30pm – 1.45pm
Live performance of tradition Christmas Music by St. James Church Choir and Boutcher Primary School Choir. Time & Talents will be providing a pedal powered Rickshaws Mobility Taxi service to for senior residents who would like come and join our Carol service.

Father Christmas 12pm – 4pm
Our very own Father Christmas will be roaming the Blue Market Place all afternoon and greeting young and old.

Rouel Road TRA Christmas Party in The Market Place
Rouel Road TRA and Baxter Party Services will be playing season music and taking DJ request throughout the afternoon. Everyone is welcome to join in and compete for fun prizes in pass the parcel, limbo, dance-offs and more. There will also be sweet treats to give away and more seasonal surprises for families!

Wreathmaking Workshop 12pm – 4pm
Our skilled Art Elves will show you how to weave willow and then decorate your wreath, choose from holly, ivy and a variety of seasonal greens as well was colourful ribbons, beads and bells. Take your wreath home or hang it in The Market Place for all to see.

Young Traders Market 12pm – 4pm
The Blue Market is hosting a special Christmas Young Traders Market event. Catch up on Christmas Shopping in The Blue Market Place where you will find array of gifts and seasonal delicacies for sale including art, crafts, clothes, Christmas Trees, sweets, toys and games.

Clothes Swap and Toy Donations
Bring us your unwanted clothes to donate or exchange. Toy Donations will be redistributed to local families in need by Love North Southwark CIC. Please only donate items in good condition that you would welcome as a gift. (Sorry, we can’t rehome broken or soiled items or games with missing pieces.)
