Southwark Libraries Online Reading Group: Gulliver's Travels

Online discussion of Jonathan Swift's classic satire

This is a publicly contributed event and not a council event. If you would like, you can submit your own event and have it appear on our website (subject to review).

At the top of the image, the clothed waist and legs of Gulliver are depicted with buckle shoes, standing astride the landscape and against a lime green background. Between his legs the author's name appears in an old script. At his feet are the silhouettes of tiny people, across which his leg casts a shadow. In front of those, the title of the novel appears in capital letters, Gulliver's Travels

Description

Southwark Libraries Online Reading Group meets on the third Thursday of every month at 6.45pm to discuss a different book. We follow the same programme as the 'Must Read Before You Die' group, based at Dulwich Library.

If you'd like to join in any of our discussions, email our Library Development Officer, Wes - wes.white@southwark.gov.uk - and he can send you the link and details you need.

In April, we're discussing 'Gulliver's Travels' by Jonathan Swift. Pick up a copy of the book in the library or an eBook/eAudio copy via BorrowBox for free with your Southwark Libraries card.

Don't worry if you haven't finished the book - as long as you don't mind spoilers, we'd be happy to have you join us and hear your thoughts and feelings about it.
