Southwark Youth Parliament is organising a career’s event for young people aged 14-18 years old on Tuesday 18th February. Professionals from different field such as ART, Humanities, STEM, etc are going to be present and speak to students from year 10 to year 13 about their career path.
The Triple A Careers event is an event with a difference, as it is organised by young people for young people.
The Southwark Youth Parliament, a group of dedicated young people who represent young people across Southwark, have pulled together to design Triple A which stands for Awareness, Accessibility and Advocacy and their slogan is Fuelling ambition, Igniting Success - One step at a time.
Southwark is one of the most diverse boroughs in London, with over 282 diverse ethnicities recorded at the last consensus. Also, thanks to the excellent work of our schools and colleges in 2024 A-level students exceeded national figures between 1.3 to 7.4 percentage points across the various grade ranges. With 31.5 per cent awarded the top grades of A*-A. The big question is how we can make sure that young people from the Borough are equipped for the world of work and the opportunities that present itself in our exciting City.
If you have any questions now, please direct them to Youth.Parliament@southwark.gov.uk.
Kind regards and thank you.
