The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign. It commences on the 25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10th December, Human Rights Day. Throughout the 16-day period Southwark Council will be running a number of events, highlighting the many forms of violence against women and girls, and consider ways in which we can work together towards a future where this abuse and violence is no longer tolerated.
This webinar will cover the following:
- The extent of sexual violence in society and what we should be aware of.
- What we need to educate children about.
- How we can have these conversations with children.
- What a parent & carer can do and how they can respond if their child discloses something.
