Tie-dye Batik Workshop

In this hands-on workshop, participants explore the art of tie-dyeing with plant-based and natural materials. They learn to create vibrant, eco-friendly dyes from ingredients like, avocado pits, and indigo dye. The session covers dye extraction, fabric preparation (using mordants for color fixation), and various folding and tying techniques to produce unique patterns. Participants leave with their own hand-dyed creations and a deeper understanding of sustainable textile practices.

This is a publicly contributed event and not a council event. If you would like, you can submit your own event and have it appear on our website (subject to review).
