Want to know what happens to your recycling and rubbish?

If you're a Southwark resident you can get behind the scenes at your local waste management facility. You can see:

  • your recycling being sorted into different streams by machine and hand
  • waste being turned into electricity for 48,000 homes and heat and hot water for 2,800 homes

School and group bookings

Tour dates for group visits can be arranged by completing the Southwark Group Tour online form.

School visits can be arranged by filling in the online school recycling discovery centre form.
