What you can take
You can take a wide range of waste from your home to the tip for free.
You cannot bring any waste produced by a business or any commercial activity.
You can take the following:
- general mixed household waste
- car and household batteries
- building rubble and hardcore
- books
- computer equipment but please remove personal data first
- large and small electrical appliances
- electronic equipment
- domestic fridges and freezers
- furniture
- garden waste
- gas bottles
- household goods
- any lightbulbs, including fluorescent
- metal
- mobile phones
- used engine oil and cooking oil
- plasterboard
- plastic bags or film
- textiles, clothes and shoes
- tyres
- wood, including chipboard
You must separate them by material and place them correct storage bins.
What you cannot bring
Do not bring materials we already include in household recycling collections.
