Apprenticeships with Southwark Council
We are committed to supporting you build your career through a meaningful apprenticeship. Whether working directly with us, or with one of our partners, our apprenticeship scheme offers:

- a recognised qualification
- the opportunity to gain a maths and English (level 1 or level 2) qualification
- a secure contract of employment for a minimum of one year
- comprehensive support from the central apprenticeship team, line managers, assessors, and tutors
- coaching and mentoring to empower apprentices to succeed in their placements
Eligibility
To apply you must:
- be aged 16 or over
- be willing to learn
- be able to work at least 30 hours per week (full-time)
- provide original certificates for English language and maths qualifications
You must have the following academic qualifications:
For Level 2 apprenticeships: English language and maths grades A* to D, or adult literacy and numeracy level 1.
For Level 3 and 4 apprenticeships: English language and maths grades A* to C, or adult literacy and numeracy level 2.
