Our responsibilities to people with NRPF status

We have a duty to support:

  • people who have leave to remain but no recourse to public funds
  • those who have a need for social care
  • families where the children are destitute or at risk of being destitute

You may have a need for social care linked to:

  • old age
  • mental or physical ill-health
  • pregnancy
  • having responsibility for children who are homeless or at risk of being homeless

We may have a duty to support other categories of migrants and asylum seekers if failure to do so would result in a breach of certain human rights.
