Personal licence

You need to apply to us for a personal licence if you live in Southwark and any of these apply to you:

• you want to sell alcohol at a premises that holds a premises licence
• you want to apply for more than 5 Temporary Event Notices a year
• you are a designated premises supervisor (DPS) at a premises that holds a premises licence

You do not need a personal licence to be employed in a pub or other business that sells alcohol, unless you are the DPS. 

You can only hold one personal licence at a time. You only need to apply through us if you live in Southwark. Otherwise, you need to apply through your local council.
