You need a licence to use a business premises as a marriage or civil partnership venue.

It's illegal to be a wedding or civil partnership venue without a licence. It's also illegal to break the terms of your licence.

Marriages or civil partnerships cannot happen in a building where the approval has expired, been revoked, or the ownership has changed.
